Abstract: Objective To observe the expressions of 14-3-3ζ and E-cadherin in stage TSUB>1/SUB> non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) in order to investigate the relatioship between expressions of these two kinds of proteins and development and invasion of lung cancer. Methods Specimens of NSCLC and adjacent normal lung tissues were collected from 110 patients. Expressions of 14-3-3ζ and E-cadherin were detected by immunohistochemistry and Western blotting. Results Up-regulation of 14-3-3ζ was observed in stage in NSCLC tissue. The increased 14-3-3ζ protein levels were associated with differentiation degree and lymph node metastasis and it was no relationship with age, gender and histological type. Decreased expression of E-cadherin was observed in NSCLC tissue. The expression was related to differentiation degree and lymph node metastasis and it was no relationship with age, gender and histological type. Conclusion The increased expression of 14-3-3ζ contributes to NSCLC development and progression.
